Activation Guide
How to Activate on Epic Games Store
Three ways to redeem your Epic key — desktop launcher, browser, or mobile app.
Method 1 — Recommended
Epic Games Launcher
The Epic Games Launcher is the most straightforward way to redeem a key. Make sure you have it installed on your PC before getting started.
- Open the Epic Games Launcher on your computer and sign in to your account if you aren't already logged in.
- Once inside the launcher, look at the left-hand sidebar. Click on your profile icon or username located at the bottom left corner of the sidebar.
- From the menu that appears, click "Redeem Code." This will open a small input window directly within the launcher.
- Carefully type or paste your key into the field provided. Epic keys are typically formatted as a string of letters and numbers, sometimes with dashes separating groups of characters.
- Click "Redeem" once your key is entered. The launcher will connect to Epic's servers and verify the code. This usually takes only a few seconds.
- If the key is valid, Epic will display a confirmation message showing the name of the game or content being unlocked. Review it to make sure it matches what you purchased.
- Click "Confirm" to finalize the redemption. The game will be added to your Epic Games Library automatically.
- Head to your Library, locate the newly added game, and click "Install" to begin downloading it. You can also choose to install it later at your convenience.
Method 2
Epic Games Browser (store.epicgames.com)
If you'd prefer not to use the launcher, you can redeem your key directly through the Epic Games website on any browser.
- Open your preferred browser and go to store.epicgames.com.
- Click "Sign In" at the top right corner. Enter your Epic Games account email and password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you'll be prompted to enter a verification code.
- Once logged in, click on your profile icon in the top right corner. A dropdown menu will appear with several account options.
- From the dropdown, select "Redeem Code." This will take you to a dedicated redemption page.
- On the redemption page, type or paste your key carefully into the box. Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the code, as this can cause the key to fail.
- Click "Redeem" and wait for the page to process your request. Epic's servers will validate the key and return a result within a few seconds.
- A confirmation message will appear showing the name of the game or content your key unlocks. Verify that this matches your purchase.
- Click "Confirm" to complete the process. The game will be added to your Epic Library and will be ready to install the next time you open the Epic Games Launcher on your PC.
Method 3
Epic Games Mobile App (iOS & Android)
Epic offers a mobile app that allows you to manage your account and redeem codes from your phone or tablet.
- Download and open the Epic Games app on your device. It is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Sign in to your Epic Games account. If two-factor authentication is enabled, approve the login via the code sent to your email or authenticator app.
- Once inside the app, tap on your profile icon usually found in the top right or bottom navigation area of the screen.
- From the profile or account menu, look for and tap "Redeem Code."
- A text input field will appear. Carefully type your key into the field. On mobile, take extra care with characters that look similar, such as the number 0 and the letter O, or the number 1 and the letter I.
- Tap "Redeem" to submit the key for verification. Epic's servers will process it and return a response within seconds.
- A confirmation screen will show the name of the game or content being unlocked. If everything looks correct, tap "Confirm" to complete the activation.
- The game will now appear in your Epic Games Library. To download and play it, you'll need to do so through the Epic Games Launcher on your PC, as the mobile app does not support game downloads directly.
